Yes. We have assessed single fathers, fathers as part of a couple, within the residential and within our community properites. We conduct matching assessments, if it is felt that having a male residing in the residential center would be too high risk, distressing or disruptive, they may be offered one of our community properties to live in, visiting the center for daily family contact, interventions and assessment sessions.

We are working towards the Welsh Offer, and have one Welsh speaking social worker as well as welsh speaking support workers. We have worked with families from Poland, Ukrain, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Pakistan to name but a few, who spoke little or no English. For these families we have developed communication strategies and Local Authorities commission translation/interpreter services where required for assessment sessions, interventions and meetings to make sure these families are able to access the service and engage in the assessment process as much as possible.
