38.6 Solutions began in 2019 with a Residential family Assessment Center on the beautiful North Wales Coast supporting up to three families at a time. In 2022 38.6 opened a second center, suitable for larger families and supporting up to four families at a time.

Both centers are staffed 24/7 with an extensive CCTV system to ensure the highest levels of safeguarding for all our families.

 We understand the challenges that Local Authorities face in finding suitable parent and child foster placements.

Bath House offers a semi-independent parent and child environment where families can demonstrate their ability to safely care for their child with lower levels of support, while still benefiting from structured assessment, guidance and professional oversight.

These placements are adaptable, flexible, and bespoke. We are happy to discuss any additional services required.

 A specialist assessment centre providing intensive support, structured learning programmes, and robust evidence-based parenting assessments. 

Designed for families where there are significant concerns regarding parenting capacity, safeguarding, risk, or the need for intensive assessment and intervention.

Elwy House offers the highest levels of safeguarding and support, with responsive staffing arrangements to suit all levels of risk and need whilst giving parent the opportunity to learn, develop and evidence their parenting capacity. 

We also offer Post-Assessment Support services, with families remaining until final hearing or for a further period of support to help them regain their independance in a safe, manageable way.

We have community properties, "move-ons", homes for families who have had a positive assessment but require some on going support and monitoring in a community setting, or who may be at risk returning to their previous address or who are facing homelessness. 

We are here to help families through the assessment process and beyond, to give parents the best possible opportunity to meet their childrens needs and build the foundations for a successful future.
